Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, write to us at SUPPORT_EMAIL and tell us your device, your version of Cresio (Settings › About › Version) and what happened. We read every message.

1. What can Cresio count? Eleven kinds of counter: Tally, Multi-tally, Streak, Cycle, Days since, Countdown, Anniversary, Duration, Laps, Pomodoro and World clock. Tap + on the Board or the Feed, pick a kind, and give it a name, a look and, if you like, a goal.

2. What is the difference between the Feed and the Board? The Feed gives each counter a full screen of its own — swipe between them. The Board shows every counter at once as tiles. Both show the same counters. Settings › Feed chooses which one opens first.

3. How do I change a counter's colour, background or sound? Open the counter and use its menu to edit it. Backgrounds range from designed patterns to your own photos, and effects and tap sounds are chosen per counter. App palettes, which change the look of the whole app, are in Settings.

4. How do I stop a counter from being changed by accident? Archive it from its menu. An archived counter keeps its whole history but is read-only; unarchive it any time from the Archived filter on the Board. Settings › Counting › Confirm resets asks before a counter goes back to zero.

5. What does the free version include? Every feature, with up to three counters. Widgets, the Apple Watch app, stats, reminders, sync, backup and all looks are free.

6. What does Premium add? Unlimited counters. It is a single one-time purchase — not a subscription, so there is nothing to renew or cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple Account.

7. I bought Premium but the app still says I am on the free plan. Open the Premium screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Premium is tied to that account and works on every device signed in to it.

8. What happens to my counters if Premium is refunded? Nothing is deleted. Counters beyond the first three become read-only: you can still see them and their history, and they keep syncing, but they cannot count until you choose which three stay active or buy Premium again.

9. How do I request a refund? Purchases are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose Cresio Premium.

10. Do I need an account? No. Cresio has no accounts of its own, no ads and no tracking. Counters are saved on your device from the first tap. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync between your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch through your own private iCloud storage.

11. My counters do not appear on my other device.

  1. Check that both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account, and that iCloud is not restricted (Settings › your name › iCloud).
  2. Open Cresio › Settings › Sync. Status should read Up to date; iCloud account should read Signed in.
  3. Tap Sync now on the device that has the counters, then open Cresio on the other one. A change from another device can take a moment to arrive; it is delivered by iCloud, and Cresio cannot make it faster.
